The sporting industry is full of different matches, races and games that fill up the calendar and leave fans both in amazement and wanting more; some sports are universally loved and have been for longer than many could even remember. From worldwide events to globally famous athletes, there are sports that rule the world and we are going to take a look at them, discovering why they are so irresistible to us sports fans. 

Horse Racing

Dating back centuries, horse racing has always been one of the most popular sports, drawing in huge crowds who came to enjoy the thrill of the races and not to mention getting involved in the betting action by placing a free bet, as this has always come hand in hand with the sport. Many of its famous events are as historic as the sport itself, many having been run for over 150 years, with the like of the Grand National and Royal Ascot still being held each and every year. 

The horse races are so beloved for the thrill and excitement they provide fans, whether they are watching at home, in the bookies or from the stands. Not only are the events loved for the races, but many attend for the glamour that comes along with attending, such as the fancy dress code, the champagne and the chance to come face to face with celebrities and even members of the royal family. 

Football 

There is no sport that quite compares to the ‘king’ and that is of course football. It is undisputed that football is the most popular sport in the world, with global events such as the FIFA World Cup having a viewership of 3.5 billion people, half of the world total population watching one event. The game is loved for its simplicity and the passion involved with both playing and watching, with its players pouring their blood, sweat and tears into every game, giving the fans chills to watch. 

Not only is football itself the most famous of them all, but it has produces some of the biggest names in sports, if not the world, with the like of Cristiano Ronaldo not only being one of the best players to ever grace the field but also turning him into one of the highest-paid athletes and the most followed user on the whole of Instagram. Other names that the sport has made wildly famous also include Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Frank Lampard and so many more. 

Tennis 

Tennis, like many other sports, is famous for being unexpected, every time you watch a game you never know what you will get. The game is filled with passion and is full of some of the most famous athletes in the world, such as Rodger Federer and Serena Williams. 

As well as famous players, the sport also has its fair share of amazing events, such as Wimbledon that has been held for over 120 years and each year giving fans, celebrities and even members of the royal family, games that ill never be forgotten.
